November 12, 1989...the first of many best days of my life.

November 12, 1989...now that is a date I'll never forget. That was 3 days after Brenda and my first date.

Why is that special you ask...

That's the date that Brenda called me up and asked, "So, are we an item?" I said, "sure" and the rest is history.

Today, Brenda and I are celebrating our 18 year anniversary of "going out."

We celebrated by eating the MOST expensive meal we have ever eaten. Thanks Dad!
Tonight we are at a place that calls itself , "California's Best..." I'm not sure what the "..." means but TONIGHT I will find out.

The following is for Brenda the rest of you guys can stop reading here.

I love you so much Brenda. I am so glad you made that call 18 years ago. We are definitely an ITEM! I can't wait to see what the next 18 years bring. Nighty night sleep tight!

I'm so glad you and Brenda found each other. I love you both and can't imagine either of you with anyone else.

Where are you? I know you said you were going south, but I didn't think it was yet...

I remember when you both started dating, I remember going to stake dances with you guys when we would come down. It was always so much fun. I also remember Anna sleeping with a pillow with Brenda's brother's face on it. That was fun too.

That was nice. Once, a boy called me and asked if we were an item and I said "No." It turns out, that fateful decision was the best decision I ever made--I have always had good insight, even as an eighth grader.

But you know you have a good love story, when it becomes a lesson in Young Womens. I still remember when my Laural teacher (Kim Didier), all the way up in Boise, gave a lesson on the "greatest love story ever told" and it turned out to be about you and Brenda. I stood up at the end (in a dramatic twist) and revealed that you were my cousin. I became a celebrity in Young Womens that day. That was the one of the best days of my life, and I will never forget it. Thanks!
